FRAICHEUR DE PARIS is a company dedicated to the public service of producing, transporting, storing, and distributing refrigeration energy. It collaborates with the City to implement sustainable and virtuous cooling solutions, aligned with a common approach to decarbonization and climate change adaptation.
Meeting the cooling needs of hotels, department stores, offices, and museums in the capital, the company succeeds CLIMESPACE, a subsidiary of ENGIE and concessionaire since 1991
Currently, FRAICHEUR DE PARIS is facing high demand in deploying its networks beneath Paris, including sewers, tunnels, quarries, catacombs, among others. That’s why it has enlisted the services of EPI company to study routing in confined spaces.
To verify the positioning of existing networks, we conducted a point cloud survey to model the entire existing gallery, thus enabling us to determine the future positioning of two chilled water pipes.
The chilled water pipes are depicted in cyan in the photos and the video, with a specific reflectivity to facilitate their distinction from the existing networks.
Use Case: Studying the passage of Paris Cooling networks in a confined space using point cloud and BIM technology.
