Commissioned by Enedis, the construction of this new substation occurs within a highly constrained context: a limited plot, the necessity to ensure continuity of service with the old substation, and stringent safety standards for replacing 40 existing high-voltage cables.
Prior to the studies, we conducted a point cloud survey and made it available to various stakeholders. BIM was used to simulate multiple intervention scenarios, aiming to optimize the positioning of galleries, cables, and associated equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
In preparation for the day-to-day phasing of the slip lining works commencing in autumn 2022, we created a 120-page cable logbook to meticulously document each phase for the construction team.
Below is phase No. 38 of the cable logbook, illustrating the cable to be installed (in yellow) and the cables already laid.
In continuation of the BIM work, Enedis collaborated with the startup Syslor to define an augmented reality solution that enables precise visualization of cables while accessing valuable on-site information.
Use case: Provide a detailed logbook to the « Construction » team to ensure clear and explicit understanding of the individual phasing of cables.
