Metro line 15 of "Grand Paris" Project

Rehabilitation of 3 access points on the South Line 15

The Grand Paris Express project aims to create a second metro system dedicated to the outskirts of Paris. The project includes the construction of 4 new metro lines, the extension of 2 existing lines, the establishment of 7 technical centers, and the installation of 68 new stations. This ambitious project aims to double the length of the current Paris metro from 220 to 445 km, with a particular focus on peripheral areas.

In collaboration with the company SATELEC, I contributed to the realization of three ancillary structures for the future Line 15 South of the metro, including shafts dedicated to ventilation, emergency evacuation, and tunnel electrical systems. Responsible for the Plumbing, Electricity, and HVAC packages of the Ancillary Structures, my involvement focused on the electrical package, encompassing low and high voltage systems, from the design phase to execution works.

The project, complex with numerous electronic systems, cable trays, piping, ventilation, etc., required close collaboration among all stakeholders.

Due to the considerable diversity of the types of systems involved, the use of color-coding was essential during the exploitation of the digital models. This allowed for effective simulation of network passages between the various technical packages.

Use case: Optimizing studies to ensure the integration of all operational systems, thereby guaranteeing the metro’s operational efficiency.
